The Würth Group is a global leader in its core business, the sale of installation and fastening materials. It currently consists of over 400 companies in more than 80 countries and employs over 87,000 people. Almost 34,000 of them are permanently employed as field sales representatives. Its consolidated financial statements reveal that the Würth Group achieved sales of 20 billion euros in the 2020 business year.
The sales range for commercial and industrial companies in Würth's core business line includes over 125,000 products: from screws, bolts, screw accessories and anchors to tools, chemical products for technical applications and occupational safety equipment.
Our allied companies – Group companies that are adjacent to the core business or operate in diversified business areas – supplement our product range with products for hardware and DIY stores, electrical installation materials, electronic components (e.g. printed circuit boards) and financial services.
WÜRTH – A FAMILY BUSINESS
More than three million customers worldwide now place their trust in Würth. The long-standing success of the Würth Group is based on people and a very particular corporate philosophy. Würth is a family business that was founded by Adolf Würth in 1945. The current Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Würth Group's Family Trusts, Prof. Reinhold Würth, took over the company at the age of 19 and built it up after the death of his father Adolf. Starting in the post-war years, he developed the then two-man business into a globally active trading group.
